The environmental management system is managed according to international and Mongolian law and regulation within the scope of an integrated, comprehensive policy. The environmental strategy and purpose of our mining are determined as follows:
Environmental strategy:
Our top priority is to (a) prevent any possible negative impact on the environment at each level of the operation, (b) use the natural resources appropriately, and (c) rehabilitate.
Our purpose:
- To follow the environmental standards that are approved by Mongolian and international laws.
- To constantly improve the implementation of environmental protection work.
- To respect and protect the local culture and tradition.
- To always introduce environment-friendly and efficient new modern technologies.
- To create an arboretum with various types of trees or a plantation field
- To build theoretical and practical training camp based on rehabilitation research of Toson Mine.
- To create greenery in the forest by planting flowers, plants, and more.
Environmental activities include the following directions:
- Environmental strategy and management,
- Environmental monitoring
- Environmental rehabilitation
- Environmental training and control.
Our responsibilities are to implement the environmental protection plan, monitor the plan’s implementation within the leadership scope, and constantly cooperate with environmental monitoring and testing professional agencies. Those projects must be included in the annual environmental plan and implemented.
